The time line below shows a typical path for a new patient. We are flexible and do what is necessary to accommodate patient’s needs.

Complimentary Consultation
We require an initial 15 minute consultation to determine whether or not it’s appropriate for us to work with you. This consultation with Dr. Mittag is free. In this consultation you can tell Dr. Mittag your health concerns and get any questions answered. Dr. Mittag will ask you questions about your health history and current health issues. You can schedule your free consultation here.
New Patient Application & Health History
Our new patient application and health history is completed online. It is recommended that you complete this application on a laptop or desktop computer and not on a cell phone. The application takes about 30 minutes to complete. You can fill out the application here.
Make Your Payment
Dr. Mittag’s fees are detailed at the end of the application form in step 2 above. Payments for consultation fees are required before each consultation and are not refundable once a payment is made and an initial consultation is scheduled. Your payment for the initial new patient consultation is due upon completion of the New Patient Application & Health History.
Initial Consultation
The initial consultation is 60 minutes. Dr. Mittag will have reviewed your application and health records prior to this consultation. That is to say, Dr. Mittag will have spent a minimum of 30-60 minutes reviewing your application, history and health records before your initial consultation. This is the reason that once your consultation appointment is scheduled and paid for it is not refundable.
Lab Testing
Dr. Mittag may recommend lab testing to clarify any suspected physiological imbalances. You will receive a lab test prescription from Dr. Mittag via Rupa Health. Rupa Health is an online clearing house for functional lab testing. All lab tests are paid for directly through Rupa Health. Lab test results are sent to Dr. Mittag and after being reviewed are forwarded to you.
Lab Test Interpretation Consultation
Dr. Mittag will interpret your lab results for you in a 60 minute consultation. Payment for this consultation is required when your appointment is scheduled. If you’ve undergone lots of testing this consultation will be a separate session. If you’ve had just one or two lab tests, your lab interpretation and health treatment plan consultations will be incorporated into a single consultation (see Treatment Plan Consultation).
Treatment Plan Consultation
This is the best part. Here is where you receive guidance on what to do and how to do it – to work your way back to a healthier you. Think of it as a roadmap back to health. Dr. Mittag will present it to you and explain it in detail.
Progress Consultation
This 30 minute consultation is with Dr. Mittag. The purpose of this consultation is to make sure that you are getting results. It will give you time to ask questions and express any concerns. It will also allow Dr. Mittag an opportunity to check on your progress. Generally speaking this consultation is scheduled 2 weeks to 2 months following your Treatment Plan Consultation, depending on your treatment plan.
